Gnostics Strike Back!
It’s important to remember that all of the manuscripts from the Bible date between 60 and 90 AD while this fragment is much, much later coming from between 300 and 400 AD, the time of the Gnostic writings like The Gospel of Judas and others proven to belong not to the early Church but to the ‘wolves’ that were coming in and ravaging the early believers with false doctrines.
